Perth Glory coach Kenny Lowe says hes at a loss to explain his teams woeful display against Newcastle, but he hasnt given up hope of turning the clubs fortunes around.Glory slipped further behind in the A-League title race after suffering a shock 2-1 loss to the lowly Jets at nib Stadium on Saturday night. The result ended Perths 10-match unbeaten run at home, and leaves them five points adrift of third spot heading into a daunting clash with ladder leaders Sydney.Newcastle entered Saturdays match with just one win to their name, but they completely dominated Perth and would have won by far more if not for a series of stunning saves by Glory goalkeeper Liam Reddy.Lowe was particularly shocked at how poor his team were in the first half, with the players even booed off the field by their own supporters at the break. At the end of the day, all they want is a performance with some character and attitude, Lowe replied when asked about the booing. Its the first time for me, and hopefully its the last.Maybe its an off night. Obviously you dont want too many of those. The injury absence of star playmaker Diego Castro (hamstring) has hurt Glory at a crucial time of the year.Castro isnt due back until January, meaning hell miss cruunch matches against Sydney, Melbourne City, and Western Sydney.ddddddddddddLowe was reluctant to use Castros absence as an excuse for his teams poor form. And he said it was up to everyone at the club to lift. Its not just the players. Its all of us, Lowe said. Were all in it together. Its not me, its a we scenario.Glory have just one win to their name from their past seven games.Jets attacker Andrew Hoole cancelled out Nebojsa Marinkovics opener, before an embarrassing own goal from Glory midfielder Milan Smiljanic in first-half stoppage time gifted Newcastle all three points. The Jets welcomed back Daniel Mullen, Nigel Boogaard, and Andrew Nabbout from injury against Perth, while Morten Nordstrand is set to return in Friday nights home clash with Adelaide United.Jets coach Mark Jones was thrilled with the victory against Perth, which broke a seven-match winless run.Its not rocket science. You take five or six starting players out of any team in the world, and the teams going to struggle, Jones said.If we keep playing the same way (we did against Perth), it would be nice to sneak into the six.
