This year is 125 years since the Swiss jeweller Carl Friedrich Bucherer opened the first watch and jewellery shop in Lucerne and launched an Art Deco style ladies watch collection. Since Carl Friedrich Bucherer became one of the first watches to focus on watches, this was a revolutionary development and it was still an innovation at the time.
